I am Vitor Altavista

I create visual identities and direct how they come to life across packaging, campaigns, spaces and screens.

Hi, I’m Vitor! An art director and graphic designer based in São Paulo. Over the past 5 years, I have created identities and visual systems for clients all over the world! Especially United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, Mexico and Brazil. Working across food, finance, technology, wellness, education and culture. I currently collaborate remotely with a New York studio, where my role spans early concept development, art direction, client presentations / communications and final visual systems.

I am fascinated by design books and by experiencing design in all its forms. I know there will always be something new to learn, so I try to expand my perspective in different ways: through books, exhibitions, events, talks and workshops, but also through conversations with colleagues, creative directors and mentors.

Even in a time shaped by AIs, I am far from believing in the end of design, human interaction or, most importantly, culture. I believe curiosity, exchange and human sensitivity are precisely what keep creative work relevant.

Outside the studio, I enjoy cooking recipes from different countries, reading, going to boxing practice after a long day of meetings and spending time with Lilo, my dog.
